Napp Studio aimed to subvert the cold, clinical aesthetic of traditional medical facilities by infusing natural, humanizing elements. Their core design concept was to associate wellness with natural scenery, imbuing the space with a sense of warmth and security.
To align with this vision, Napp Studio carefully selected the Bolle collection by Giopato & Coombes and the Ceto Wall Light by Ross Gardam.
The Bolle collection features hand-blown, transparent glass spheres that resemble floating soap bubbles - an organic, lightweight form that complements the comforting ambience Napp Studio sought to create.
The refracted light through the glass produces a dreamy, soft illumination effect that compliments the space's atmosphere.
Meanwhile, the Ceto Wall Light takes direct inspiration from natural scenery - the undulating ripples of the ocean. Each piece is a unique, mouth-blown glass sculpture that casts a soft, flowing light across the walls, bringing the outdoors' organic irregularity indoors.
With their pared-back, nature-inspired designs, these two lighting collections perfectly embodied and manifested Napp Studio's design concept of cultivating a warm, stress-free haven for patients away from the clinical associations of healthcare settings.
