Salone del Mobile.Milano, internationally known as the Milan Furniture Fair. The most famous furniture fair in the world is more than a fair or a large-size exhibition, it is a reference point for professionals in the design and furniture fair with the aim of creating top-quality products. 

World-renowned furniture exhibitions are held in Milan. And more than a hundred thousand people from over the world to attend Milan’s Design Week. The exhibition showcases endless approaches to furniture and design from all around the world. It is the most prestigious place for designers to display their new products. Furniture, lighting and other home goods are elevated here to the works of art.

The event is also sometimes called Milan Furniture Fair or Milan Design Week. It takes place at the Fiera Milano complex in the town of Rho, a suburb of Milan. The fair was held for the first time in 1961 to showcase Italian furniture. It was sponsored by Federelegno-Arredo furniture trade association.

Now about 13,000 furniture manufacturers are striving to take part in this huge expo which occupies an area of 230,000 sq. m. It includes works of 2,500 established and 700 young designers at the Salone Satellite, a secondary expo. About 270,000 people from 150 countries attend the fair every year.
