Milan in April – the start of spring and the most intense week of the year for the design industry and the city itself. With months of planning from the exhibitors, the city is now in full bloom with its most creative individuals. This year, 2,103 exhibitors from 37 countries presented their ideas at the Salone del Mobile, of which 306 companies exhibited at the Euroluce lighting biennial. However, seasoned visitors of the fair know that this week’s creativity knows no bounds and reaches areas like Brera, Tortona and Alcova, a new design hub in the north of Milan.

Giopato & Coombes | Scarabei Collection
At Milan Design Week 2025, Giopato & Coombes unveils the Scarabei collection, inspired by natural transformations. Using ancient sand casting, each aluminum piece boasts unique, organic textures. The lamps feature concave domes that create dynamic light and shadow play, mimicking living organisms.
SCP | Sustainable Furniture Collection
SCP showcases a range of sustainable furniture at Milan Design Week 2025. Highlights include the Agilis armchair by Matthew Hilton, designed for mobility, and the Overlap modular sofa system by Terence Woodgate. The Boxed Collection features compact designs by top designers, optimized for shipping. Crafted across Europe, SCP's pieces combine traditional craftsmanship with modern functionality.
Ross Gardam | Luminescent Duality
Ross Gardam presents "Luminescent Duality" at Milan Design Week 2025, exploring the interplay of light, form, and emotion. Featured pieces include "Aeris," inspired by clouds, using blown glass and brass to create ethereal lighting, and "Relic," a cast crystal glass mirror that challenges perception. The exhibition highlights Gardam's fusion of traditional craftsmanship and modern techniques, pushing contemporary design boundaries.
Anglepoise | 90 Years of the 1227 Lamp
Anglepoise celebrates the 90th anniversary of the Original 1227 Desk Lamp at Milan Design Week 2025 with a special installation at Brera Props. A limited edition lamp features a hand-polished metal finish, brass components, and a unique etched number. The exhibition displays historical artefacts and lamps, highlighting the brand's heritage and the lamp's enduring design, favored by creatives worldwide.
Studio Truly Truly & Rakumba | Big Glow
Studio Truly Truly and Rakumba introduce "Big Glow" at Milan Design Week 2025, a sustainable lighting collection using Australian wool and bioplastic. Inspired by contrasting light experiences, it offers warm, diffused light and sound absorption. Produced locally in Victoria, Australia, Big Glow combines luxury with environmental responsibility.
Bert Frank | Milan Collaborations
Bert Frank, celebrated for their Art Deco and mid-century inspired lighting, presents their designs through two exciting collaborations. Partnering with Tabu at the Fiera, they showcase selected pieces from the Rinato, Riddle, Colt, and Revolve collections, integrated into Tabu's exquisite wood veneers and wallpapers. Additionally, in the city center at SCIC Cucine's Durini Showroom, Bert Frank features items from the Colt and Pennon collections, along with a sneak peek of their new Durant collection, set within luxurious kitchen interiors. These collaborations highlight Bert Frank's commitment to blending traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design, offering visitors a unique perspective on their lighting solutions.
District Eight | New Collections Inspired by Vietnamese Heritage
District Eight presents new collections inspired by Vietnamese heritage and Eastern influences. Highlights include the DINH table from their Games Collection and the BUOM lounge chair by Jean-Marie Massaud, both showcasing a fusion of cultural elements and modern design. The exhibition space, designed by Studio Utte, features a poetic interplay of light and shadow, enhancing the display of their culturally rich furniture.
Zieta Studio | Metal Innovations
Celebrating its 15th anniversary and the 20th year of the iconic Plopp stool, Zieta Studio returns to Salone del Mobile.Milano 2025 with a showcase that highlights the artistic and functional possibilities of metal. Visitors can explore the latest advancements in their lighting collection, including the award-winning Harmonica and new pendant lamp designs. The studio also introduces a stunning new gold finish for their mirrors and a reimagined Cooper series featuring black steel with copper layers. A special tribute to Constructivism is presented through the Re:Panel object, part of the new Reverse series. Collaborations with brands like USM, Samsung, and Jaipur Rugs further enrich the exhibition, demonstrating Zieta Studio's commitment to pushing the boundaries of design and technology.
